"Christmas Gift Ideas?
Here's A Great Idea"
When it comes to a great Christmas Gift Ideas nothing could mean more than the number 1 gift in America and Canada.
And not just any candle, let us put a little more thought into this. Now we have all been down the aisles of countless discount, department, dollar and drug stores. And I bet you just about every single one has enough candles lining the shelves to sink a ship.
And if you're saying to yourself a candle is no big deal. No wonder it's the number 1 gift. You would be absolutely right. Throwing a couple of cheap candles in a sack or a gift bag, would not be special at all. And it would surely go on the box full of "if I forgot somebody and they dropped by, oh, I have a gift for you pile".
Let's be sure that doesn't happen to us...
So, to make one the great Christmas gift ideas, here is what we need to do, to make a gift that really means something. And do it without sucking your wallet as dry as the Mohave Desert.
- Various sizes and types of holiday plates, dishes, relish trays, use your imagination.
- Some holiday foliage, with berries, ornaments.
- Soy, bayberry (a Christmas tradition) or beeswax candles. Pillars work good here
- Some cheap glasses, I call them high ball glasses, the short fat ones.
- And a glue gun, make sure it's locked and loaded.
- A big roll of holiday see through cellophane wrapping.
- A couple different colored ribbons.
OK, I think we are all set. Of course if you're not the crafty sort of person. Just go down to the Body Shoppe and get a nice scented candle gift basket, and don't forget the credit card.
But if you are a crafty sort of person and want to make a real gift with meaning. Here's what we do.
Make sure you have plenty of natural wax scented pillar candles on hand, various colors are ok, but all the same color for each gift looks a lot cleaner. Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong, as Dennis Miller would say.
Next you have to make sure your pillar candles will fit in those short fat glasses you bought. So read through this completely before your little shopping trip.
Now here's what we're gonna do, did I say that before?
Here's the quick and dirty.
Take the plate, dish, bowl, or tray arrange the glass or glasses on the dish. The real reason we use the glasses is to keep our candle from igniting our fall/winter/holiday foliage, we are going to arrange on top of the plate or platter around the candles. Good idea, huh?
Now that we got our glasses arranged on the platter, heat up that glue gun. And now glue away, but just a dab to hold the glass or glasses in place. We don't want to have our gift receiver having to chip the glasses off with a hammer and chisel if she would like to use the glasses or platter.
Now wrap your foliage around the glasses on top of the plate or platter. When you have everything just the way you want it. Use the glue gun to put little glue dots all around so everything stays in place nicely.
Now take your master piece, drop in your natural wax pillar candles. Oh did I tell you to get the pillars at 3 or 4 different heights. It just adds a little more class. Anyway drop the candles in the glasses.
Now if you want to kick it up a notch, you can add a candle lighter, a candle snuffer, and wick trimmer. One, two or all three.
Now pull out a big sheet of that see through cellophane wrap. Set your dish right in the middle. Grab the corners, and pull everything top, scrunch it all together and tie it up with a nice, big bow. One of the perfect Christmas gift Ideas.
And there you have one of the most perfect Christmas Gift Ideas on the planet.
You could do the same thing on a smaller scale with scented soy votive candles and votive candle holders. Or use a lot of them all chunked together on a plate, maybe line them up in a row on a long rectangle plate.
Use your imagination, with different sizes and shapes of plates, round ones, square ones, oblong rectangle ones. Think about arranging the glasses and find a plate or platter it will fit on.
After the Holidays is a great time to find, holiday plates, platters, and cellophane wrap for cheap. So plan ahead and take your list and you will be ready to make the coolest gifts with these Christmas gift ideas that keep on giving.
