Soy pillar candles are all the rage, with everyone concerned with what they are breathing. And what they are using to scent their homes, for a relaxing environment.

Here's the problem...

Soy is a very soft wax, so some manufactures bend the rules by adding paraffin to make a sturdier candle. Sturdier yes, but healthier, NO!

What to watch out for...

You want to look for 100% natural wax candles. Just a simple soy based candle won't cut it.

Ethical candle manufactures won't try to fool you. You want to look for candles made from soy wax, beeswax, palm wax, bayberry wax, or vegetable wax or a blend of any of these.

Pillar candles are probably the most popular of all candles. When anyone mentions candles or you see a beautiful candle display. It is usually made up of different sizes, heights and widths and all shapes and sizes of pillar candles.

To be safe, and healthy along with the beauty of scented pillar candles. Let's keep in natural in the candles we invest in, when it comes to scented pillar candles.

Gaining in popularity is another candle that falls under the pillar candle banner is the chunk candle. If you haven't heard of this one you probably will soon enough.

The chunk candle is exactly that a big (or small) chunk of wax. And yes they do come all natural also. You have heard the saying "they are so ugly, they are cute", well that explains the chunk candle perfectly. Keep an eye out for one, you'll love it.

Just A Heads Up....

You probably won't find healthy, all natural pillar candles at your local candle store. Even though this is changing, they are pretty hard to find. As the popularity of soy and other natural wax candles is spreading. There will be more and more of these stores.

And the large hobby store have beautiful scented pillar candles. Rest assured they are not the healthy or clean burning ones you can find online.

But pretty much at this writing you can find wonderfull scented pillar candles online. In just about any size. color and scent you can imagine.
