Ask and You Shall Receive

Is this candle scented with candle fragrance oils? I've said it before and I will say it again. Know what you're getting. If the candle seller doesn't know, it's scented with some kind of synthetic fragrance.

Candle fragrance oils need to be that, specially made for candles. And if the vendor says their candles are aromatherapy candles, believe me, they will know everything about them.

Where you really have to watch what you're buying is at your local grocery, drug store or discount store. And the only label they have is the name, the scent and the little warning label on the bottom, that says do not burn this candle while fueling your jet. Or something close to that.

Let The Price Be Your Guide

Of course you don't have to worry too much about the scenting if your buying scented soy candles. But when it comes to buying the actual fragrance oils, let the proce be your guide. If there is a steep price drop compared to others and they don't have a valid reason. It's probably a lower grade.

The grades are manufacturing grade used by the big guys, I mean the real big guys. Cosmetic grade is a better grade but it must be "for use with making candles", there is a premium grades and designer grades. All make great candle fragrance oils.

Look for words like high quality, undiluted, or a percentage of the actual essential oil. But again, let the price be your guide.

And if your just buying a scented soy candle, just ask, smell, and if you like it, get it. If you don't just don't buy it again. I not only sell great scented soy candles. I am buying candles all the time online and off. When I get it I give it a good wipf. And if I don't like it, I save it for a unique gift or a nice Christmas gift for someone. No biggie.

You will know who to buy from and once you find someone you trust and love the candles stick with them.

One last point if you are buying fragrance oils to make your own candles, make sure it's in an amber bottle, it's not as important as when you're buying Essential Oils but it's a nice touch when a manufacture thinks enough about their candle fragrance oils to warrant an amber bottle.
